Build your session
Pick how long you have, then switch the four blocks on or off: Warmup, Technical work, Main project, and Something fun. The colored bar shows how your time is split. Drag the white dividers to rebalance it. Each block can hold material: a course exercise for your warmup, a key and pattern from the Fundamentals Library for technique, and your own notes for the main project and the fun at the end.
During the session
The big ring counts down the current block, and the timeline along the bottom shows the whole session with the block you are in highlighted. Subtle sounds mark the moments that matter: a rising chime at the start, a single ping at the halfway point of longer blocks, a double ping at ten minutes remaining, three ticks in the final ten seconds, and a chime when a block ends. The speaker button silences all of them.
When a block's time is up, a card offers the next block. It moves on by itself after fifteen seconds, or you can jump right away, or press "+5 minutes here" if you are in the middle of something worth finishing.
Using the Studio mid-session
Press the Studio button (or any "Open" button inside a block) to go into the full Studio: the practice player, the explorer, the quizzes, anything. A small timer pill stays at the bottom of the screen so the session keeps running. Its buttons pause, skip ahead, or bring back the full session screen.
If you have a MIDI keyboard
The session listens while you play. If the keys go quiet for a few minutes it checks in on you, and your summary at the end shows real playing time next to elapsed time. One more trick: tap the lowest key on your keyboard three times quickly to move to the next block without leaving the bench.
Saved sessions and your practice log
Type a name and press Save, and your session shows up in the "Saved sessions" menu next time. The practice log works the same way, building a streak calendar from every session you finish.
With the full Studio, saved sessions and your practice history sync with your account, so they follow you to any device you sign in on. If you practice at two pianos, your sessions and streaks are waiting at both.
Lite version
Lite includes 15 minute sessions with Key of C technical work. Longer sessions, all twelve keys, the full Fundamentals Library, saved sessions and the practice log come with the full Studio.
